The official Eagles website that accompanied the release of Long Road out of Eden, the band’s first studio album in nearly 30 years.
What’s cool on this site? Well a few things, but I’ll pick one. The previous version of eaglesband.com was a Flash site. For this version it was decided that Flash would be eliminated except for the media player. The only problem with this is that the media player will reload every time a user travels to a new page.
To get around this we have a fancy media player that pops out into it’s own separate window when a user click’s the “pop out” button (don’t want to be annoying people with unsolicited pop ups). The player will then “pop in” when the pop up window is closed.
My role was to build out the site from the approved design.
